170. Special Guest Zane Landin on Storytelling, Mental Health Advocacy, and Inclusive DEI Conversations
from Jason Zuk, The Social Psychic™ · host Jason Zuk
In this episode of The Social Psychic Radio Show, host Jason Zuk welcomes Zane Landin: a Communications Specialist, Journalist, Entrepreneur, and Passionate Advocate at the Intersection of Mental health, Disability Rights, and Queer Identity. Zane is the founder of PositiveVibes Magazine, a digital platform dedicated to authentic storytelling around mental health and wellness, and the founder and President of Landing Dreams PR, a consulting business supporting media and mental health advocates. A Cal Poly Pomona graduate in Communication and Public Relations, Zane has brought his voice to some of the most influential institutions in the country including USAID, NASA, and General Motors and he will also join the National Geographic Society as an Internal Communications Specialist. His writing has appeared across more than 50 platforms, including Forbes, Buzzfeed, Entrepreneur, Power of Positivity, and Lady Gaga's Channel Kindness. In 2022, Zane was selected as one of just 30 young advocates nationwide — out of hundreds of applicants — to attend the first-ever Mental Health Youth Action Forum in Washington, D.C., where he stood alongside President Biden, Dr. Vivek Murthy, Dr. Biden, and Selena Gomez to advocate for mental health at the highest levels of government. In this conversation, Zane shares what it means to show up fully as a Hispanic, Queer, and Disabled voice in spaces not always built for you — and how storytelling becomes the bridge between personal truth and collective healing. 🔗 Connect with Zane on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/zane-landin-b2417a187 Learn more about your ad choices.
