170118 07 Scraping the Slush

2017-01-18 Our seventh song is all about making a quick buck. If you can steal away into the galley, you can scrape the slush from the storage barrels to trade with the boatswain for cigarettes. He just loves that stuff for greasing the rigging. But then what would I do with all those cigarettes? And there's also the somewhat inconvenient fact that the Oculus has neither rigging nor a boatswain. Perhaps I'll just hold onto it and sell it at the next port... This one's in the Locrian Mode of C Major. That makes it B Locrian. Locrian's usually horrible sounding, but I quite like the feel of this one. So much so that I'm wondering if I didn't slip out of Locrian. Yeah, we'd better call this one C Ionian. You can never be too careful out on the sea. Common time at 120 bpm.
