171. They Never Saw It Coming: QUADRUPLE HOMICIDE

This week on LOTW, Becky and Bevy revisit a case that began with friendship and ended in unthinkable violence.Christine Paolilla’s early life was marked by hardship — illness, bullying, and isolation. When she met Rachael Koloroutis and Tiffany Rowell in high school, everything changed. They took her in, gave her confidence, helped her find her footing in a world that had never been kind. The trio became inseparable, and for a while, Christine seemed to be living the kind of teenage dream she’d always watched from the sidelines. But in 2003, that dream shattered. Rachael and Tiffany — along with Tiffany’s boyfriend and his cousin — were found murdered inside a quiet suburban home. The crime was brutal, senseless, and confusing. Investigators struggled to understand how such a massacre could erupt among friends. For years, the case seemed directionless — until a clue hiding in plain sight revealed that the killer wasn’t a stranger at all.
