#172 - My Go To Tool for Staff Training | Screencast-o-matic

I think my team is pretty amazing. And to have them working at their best, communication is important. Leading a virtual team has its challenges when it comes to communication. Scrivener Solutions uses different communication tools to build our virtual teamwork environment. Each tool serves its specific purpose. This week's podcast focuses on our use of Screencast-o-matic when it comes to staff training. Although there are other screen recording and editing software on the market, my go to is Screencast-o-matic. The reasons: Affordability Ease of Use I can't tell you how many hundreds of videos I've created to help me communicate ideas, how-tos, and map out problems solving for issues that arise and share with my team. The problem that I ran into over the years was filing them in an organized and consistent fashion that would be easy to refer back to. In this episode, I share how David Jenyns' book, SYSTEMology helped make things click for me and how we're making this year the year of SOPs. We're blending our written SOPs with embedded how-to videos and have a better filing and organizing system.
