173: Chris Walker, “Trapped on Ushba”

from The Narrators · host thenarrators.org

Episode 173: Today's story comes from investigative journalist and Westword staff writer Chris Walker. Back in 2012, Chris and a fellow journalist embarked on a 16,000-mile bicycle ride from France to China, documenting their travels along the way. This story recounts one small leg of that trip, where Chris and his companion stumbled upon a daring mountain rescue in the tiny Eurasian country of Georgia. Chris originally told his story on 20 January 2016 at Buntport Theater in Denver, Colorado. The theme of the evening was "Promise." A very special thanks to The Milk Blossoms, who provided outro music for today's episode. For the latest information about our live shows or special events, please check our Facebook page.
