#174 - Alexis Michelle
from Take A Bow Hosted by Broadway Podcast Network
International Drag Star, Alexis Michelle also known as Alex Michaels, comes to Take A Bow sharing stories from their career on RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul's Drag Race All Star, Drag around the world, and in the theatre as both Alex and Alexis. Alex/is is a non-binary performer who candidly delves into a discussion about how the entertainment industry has progressed and areas that still needs work. We discuss shows that could showcase more inclusion, how the TONY wins of Alex Newell and J Harrison Ghee accelerate that progress and hopes it will encourage writers to write authentic stories for non-binary performers with non-binary characters, and how they are creating their own work to entertain others. You can see Alexis on stage very soon around the world in Witch Perfect World Tour (A Hocus Pocus Parody). This episode is one for the ages. You won't want to miss this conversation.
