174. CASSANDRA JENKINS REVEALS THE FULL STORY BEHIND HER ENTIRE CAREER & RATES HER OWN RECORDS (PART 2: AN OVERVIEW ON PHENOMENAL NATURE & MY LIGHT, MY DESTROYER)

Cassandra’s newest LP My Light, My Destroyer is challenging and accessible in equal measure, containing infinite universes of sound and creative possibility. Discograffiti sat down with her for an uninterrupted 5-hour interview about her entire recorded output. Things got deep.     Here’s just some of the many things Cassandra and I touch on in Part 2 of this podcast:    How she transitioned from deciding to throw in the towel entirely on her career, to making the best music of her life; In-depth, track-by-track discussions of An Overview On Phenomenal Nature and My Light, My Destroyer; And, most importantly, a primer on how to maintain a successful career established upon “f*ck it” energy when you actually start to care a lot.   Listen: https://podfollow.com/1592182331   I support a wife and a five-year-old son with Discograffiti’s Patreon and tips as my sole sources of income.    If you’re a Cassandra Jenkins superfan like me, you’ll want THE DIRECTOR’S CUT of this episode.
