El 67% de lxs Finishers en UTMB100M y OCC50K hacen tiempos en meta que son el doble o más del tiempo ganador: 37-47h en UTMB, 10-15h en OCC. Equivalen a ritmos promedio de 11'-17'/km, que se traducen en 7-12h en completar una maratón. Por supuesto, NO pretendo decir a participantes en carreras u organizaciones de las mismas cómo, y cómo no, debe afrontarse una carrera de montaña, si a ritmos de X o Y minutos por kilómetro. Pero, sí me parece pertinente el debate de si debemos llamar a las cosas por su nombre. Y una cosa es "correr" y "competir" un trail y otra es hacer "trekking" para "completar" la distancia. No hay nada mejor ni peor en cada una de las opciones, pero creo que son distintas y así deberíamos reconocerlas. Quizás me equivoque... En fin, éste es el debate.
