Overview- Don't Dishonor, Nor Despise, But Represent. 1 Tim 6:1-2. In our sermon today we study Paul’s words to Timothy as to how Christians who were either purchased slaves (so someone’s property), or willful servants (same as people today who have jobs with companies) were to behave towards their bosses or owners who were either Christians or unbelievers. Paul references that Christians of his time had slaves. Are Christians supposed to own slaves? Does Paul say here that slavery is OK? Is a Christian supposed to treat an unbelieving boss different than a believing boss? I cover all these questions and much more in my sermon titled “Don't dishonor, nor despise, but represent”.
