Jacob Pacheco was born with Cerebral Palsy and he successfully thrives despite any challenges. Throughout Jacob's life, he's faced incredible adversity including significant bullying, medical setbacks, discrimination, abuse, clinical depression, social prejudice, exclusion and other challenges. Similarly, Jacob received devastating outlooks in childhood from medical professionals; even told he would be "incapable" of walking after the age of 16. Subsequently, Jacob turned disability and adversity into opportunity. He went from victim to thriver. Jacob competed in 6 different sports, achieving awards and distinction in 4 as an athlete and inspirational figure. Currently, Jacob is recognized as a top adaptive surfer on the world stage. He travels the globe promoting inclusion within communities, competing at the highest levels of international adaptive sports and speaking to audiences about various topics with the goal of empowerment.
