175 X-Men with Adam Sheehan

175 - X-Men with Adam Sheehan Get ready, true believers! In this episode of Reel Comic Heroes, we dive into the movie that helped launch the modern era of superhero films, X-Men (2000). Directed by Bryan Singer and featuring an all-star cast, this film brought Marvel's beloved mutants to the big screen in a way that changed comic book adaptations forever. Joining us for this discussion is the fantastic Adam Sheehan, a longtime X-Men fan and all-around pop culture aficionado. We break down the film's impact, its faithfulness to the comics, and the performances of Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and the rest of the team. Plus, we discuss what worked, what didn't, and how X-Men helped pave the way for the explosion of superhero cinema in the years that followed. Whether you're a die-hard X-Men fan or just revisiting this classic, we've got plenty to discuss. So, grab your leather suits (sorry, no yellow spandex this time) and join us as we revisit the film that made us all believe in mutants!
