Silvia graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2007. While an undergrad, she enjoyed serving with Uncle Joe's (a peer counseling group), the Each One Teach One tutoring program, and AXE, a chemistry pre-professional organization. Silvia completed her doctorate at Emory University in 2013.
