The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has voiced objections to numerous contemporary worship songs suggesting that they should noy be sung. Many of these songs have become much loved parts of our liturgies in both ordinary and holiday time having special connections with worshippers. In some cases the unfavorable status is blamed on doctrinal disagreements or mis understandings while other objections centered on alleged scandal concerning the composer.Does the Church have bigger problems to worry about?
