About Anthony Kuo: I grew up playing the piano at a very high level. Thanks to my Juilliard-trained parents, I performed at Carnegie Hall when I was 17. Despite my talent, my heart just wasn't in it. So once the concert recording helped me lock down college scholarships, I called it quits. You see, there's a huge difference between having a skill and genuinely enjoying it - but I didn't learn that lesson until much later, 8 years into a rapidly advancing corporate career. On paper, I was living the American Dream. But I was anything but happy. It turns out that focusing solely on our skills is just half the story.
