178: Babes, Blades, and Ballpark (SHIP OF THE DEAD Ch 13-18)

Manasa apologizes for the aforementioned strong opinion in the last episode. Erin has discovered sound effects on the recording platform they use. Get ready for lots of “ballpark!” Magnus learns all about Kvasir and his mead. Hearth and Blitz set off to find the location of Bolverk’s whetstone, while Magnus and his friends head towards England. TJ has an insane take about thanking the British. Erin’s history minor and liberal arts education comes on strong. Rick is a Civil War guy, unfortunately. Erin also mentions Animorphs twice this episode, and is in peak form. Manasa’s set of chapters feel like an entirely different book. They get to York and find a giant to battle, who tells them that Alex needs to create a clay sculpture giant. We get some more background on Alex and her family.
