#178 - Improve Your Recovery with Better Sleep Hygiene

from Barbell Logic · host Scott Hambrick

Recovery is one of the two factors in the Stress Recovery Adaptation model, and when you boil it down, there are really only two elements of recovery worth worrying about: food and sleep. Sleep is something we all know we need, but often struggle to get enough of. With work demands, family demands, and the gauntlet of digital distractions lining the path to the bedroom, it sometimes seems like sleep is out of our control. To some extent, that may be true, however there are sleep factors we can control!

Tales From The Rabbit Hole Mick West Tales from the Rabbit Hole is an interview-style podcast focusing on people whose lives have been affected by the conspiracy theory rabbit hole. Guests will include both former and current believers in a variety of conspiracy theories, as well as debunkers, skeptics, and the investigators of those theories. I’m Mick West, a debunker. I wrote the book Escaping the Rabbit Hole – How to Debunk Conspiracy Theories using Facts, Logic, and Respect. This book came from my experiences running Metabunk – a debunking forum. Over the years I realized simply presenting corrections to people is not enough. We need effective communication, and we can’t do that if we don’t listen to and talk with each other. I’m hoping this podcast will help bridge that gap. Explicit Westside Barbell Westside Barbell The podcast, hosted by Tom Barry, delves into strength and conditioning training, focusing on the Conjugate Method. Tom Barry, who was mentored and chosen by Louie Simmons to lead Westside Barbell after his passing, brings unparalleled expertise and experience to each episode. The podcast will feature guests who are coaches, athletes, and specialists sharing their stories and insights on helping athletes increase strength and performance. Explicit ars PARADOXICA ars PARADOXICA When an experiment in a time much like our own goes horribly awry, Dr. Sally Grissom finds herself stranded in the past and entrenched in the activities of a clandestine branch of the US government. Grissom and her team quickly learn that there's no safety net when toying with the fundamental logic of the universe. Explicit A-hole vs the Jerk! Russell Rabb Fiercely arguing topics, ranging from conspiracy theories to world history, using explosive tirades, analytical points & basic logic to prove which side is right or wrong1 topic, 2 opinions, you decide.
