Hold it, sir. You fucking booked. Thank you. You can't get booked for anything.
I'm leaving the bill because I didn't get here. But you can't get booked for all. It's on the mobile phone. In the middle.
Yeah, it's an electronic device. No, it's on the phone. Good afternoon. Good evening.
Listen to the old car podcast. It's an early Sunday morning. Sunday morning. Hosted by Peter O'Rowners.
Hello. Ross, come out of the woodwork. You're using the Tesla as a studio. We just left the Vwalkloo's Car Club hang out up at the GAT.
It was great. Good morning. It was like a... There was no coffee there.
It was a bit shit. Oh, someone was eating something on the phone. You get to pay money to go in early. All the money goes to the children's hospital.
So basically, the setup is up at the GAT at South Head. If anyone's familiar with Sydney, we're in one of those poor places. We'll close. Yeah, looking at the harbour.
Oh, look, sorry. Just pause for a second. Look at that. There is a Honda and a 6 on the street.
It is beautiful. That's the first one. Don't hit the pushback, right? I know you wouldn't want to go through it.
Don't hit my lap. So we're in the poor into town. Yeah. G Wagon is the grocery killer.
And the car park has got sometimes better cars than the actual show. I'm just looking at the same. Oh, the GT. Look at that.
Just driving away with the throwing in cars. It was a good show. What was the highlight for your side? Basically, it's a good mix.
It's a good mix. I'm not more new, but there's a lot of old. So I think if you've got a modern Ferrari, you won't stand out. Yeah, it was kind of interesting that a lot of the cars, you'd need something pretty special to stand out.
And I think looking at the Mustangs, any other normal show, they'd be like the highlight. But they'll push up the back. The forwards, the camera's going up with the Mustangs. There's two H's, which is pushed on the other side.
They say that ain't just coming out, but I think they need that's okay. I was supposed to see the Porsche section with a lot of older Porsche. Yeah, this is a trend. There's a couple of new Porsche, but a lot of old stuff.
They all modified it and they'll kind of go with that sort of sting of vibe or the gundavile. There was a GT2 RS, but there was only one. There was no usual suspects of GT3s. It was all the old Porsche's.
It seems like these guys are really like into their cars when I say they're not just behind them, leasing them and showing them off. These guys are actually building these cars. They're modifying these cars. I've never watched them.
Yeah, some of them. But there was a F-35 that had scratched a lot of the bonnet. There was a coffee still in the car. But I think for me, one of the cars I've been following this guy for a long time, you go, has got.
And he's like, he's a car over the years. He's a damn Batman. He's a 8-1-2-GDS, which he's put in an overtake. Why body key on it?
I know they cut the car up to do what I just wanted to see in real life. We knew he was coming. So let's go back to the show. So it starts from 7 to 9 in the morning.
You pay to get in. And that's been all the young kids. On the street with cameras. Remember when the Queen used to come up with a Princess Diaries coming?
It was like, everyone's on the side of the street. So the kids, from 7 to 9, you got to pay to get in and get pre-paid tickets. We couldn't afford to get in. So we stayed with the kids.
And then after 9, it's free entry. There's cash donations for charities and the buckets in front. So all the kids wait until 9 think up, step up to the gap. So we knew Nick was turning up because I've never seen 12-year-old kids.
They started screaming. They were screaming. They were like girls waiting for Justin Bieber. That's what it was like.
They always thought, they made me be. One direction. No, Kpop. Kpop.
I don't know. I'm only the Korean boy. It's not just 20. Yeah.
For all the young listeners. They're all people. Ask your mum. So basically, these kids went wild.
Absolutely bananas for his car. This 812G, he has pulled up. He's never played the 812G. Why?
Because I love my modified cars. I think one of the best cars that I saw there today was the two of them, the M3, the E3. The original M3. Really cool.
Which we need to, we need to. The story to tell. Yeah. So there was two guys there that there was an E3.
There were two E30s next to each other. And there was an E3. And there was a 3-1-8 or a 3-5. And these guys were like our Wear experts on the E30s.
Well, that's cool. You want to tell me the story about the back glass. It's what back glass? It's a simple E30.
I'm an expert on the back glass. The E30, maybe if you're in front of a computer, Google it now. The E30 has another piece of glass put over the top of the other one to allow the boot to connect the boot to allow it, because they didn't want to chop the car up. Because they weren't allowed to, I'll get the full story for the next podcast because I don't remember it was a few years ago that I watched it.
You know, it'd be fact searching lately. It's pretty good. Yeah. It's like a good one.
But yeah, but good. But the M3 was in the days of group A racing for remembering the 80s. And you needed to sell 500 of that car. And that's when the wall control common way that, that mobile.
So they can cut the back of this car up. To do it. They're like, we can't modify this. And the original one had this whole new roof.
And I was like, we'll just take the E30 and we'll stick a piece of plastic glass at the top. And if you don't know what's there, you don't notice it. But when you now look at it, you see it's like it's stuck. It is probably the most crappy, it's modification ever.
And it hangs over the top of the lights. Yeah, correct. It's out. It's weird.
But you know, E30 guys, jump on and have a look to see what you're thinking of that. Maybe send us a couple of comments and correct this if we're wrong. But I'll get some, I'm pretty sure that that's kind of where it was. And these guys were fascinating.
Wow. I've been following E30s, my wife didn't know that. Beautiful cars. One of them was standard one of them was very heavily modified, like very heavily modified, which is okay.
And the, what else was it? That was pretty much it. There was nothing else to do with the MCCR. The Morgan 3-wheeler?
The Morgan 3-wheeler. Yeah, the Morgan 3-wheeler. I like that, but I've never fitted it. They're tiny cars.
But the other thing I noticed there was other plates. Yeah, I love that. We love that number of plates here. I can't stand it.
Ross, you'll back up. Piss me off. When people make up the fake numeric plates with the 071 or O-Plate. And then get them remade to look like numerical plates.
And then stick them on a 500,000 or Lamborghini. Like dude, you can't afford the Lamborghini. I was going to turn it around and I'm going to play it. You know why?
Because they can't listen and I'll play it. That's right. That's not a game catch. And then, but I'm not into the custom, like, you know, when you've got a word or a name, I mean, I had A45, but that was the name of the car.
That was a bit, that was a bit private. That was a bit private. Pretty good. And I got my daughter's name under a car.
But there was one guy there on it. Was it Ferrari, he had the nonplate. Oh, so he had one letter. Yeah, I can't like that.
That's unique. That's unique. But, you know, P12 or something like that. So my initials are PR.
And we're writing some of these roles with PR. And that was a bus. It was a bus. It was a bus.
It was a bus. So basically, I'll never find PR as a two-digit. Two. No, I think the two-digit is pretty fun.
Someone's gone and swiped. I ended up getting, I've been following my initials on RPG, right? And I've got RPG, one triple two triple three. I've got my strip.
But I've been following and trying to find RPG. I remember approaching the guy for years ago and saying to him, hey, are you interested in selling your own plate? I'll never sell my plate. So I can't know where I was.
And he had it on his own. I don't know. What else did you have? What was I doing?
But about two months ago I was searching on the MyPlates website, and I was trying to check in my redgos to see whether they were stealing. But you know, because they were in hold, right? You're checking the still value. And when I checked your 5PGs available, you know, and it was available.
Please look, book it, I want to have to find a card sticking on. Oh, OK. So is that a problem? That's my card.
That's my card. That's my card, what do you want to get on your plate? No, I've got a what's it going on? I've got a what's it going on.
Got a what's it going on. Got a what's it going on? Got a what's it going on your card. enough cars to serve enough for it.
Well, we did a five-star, so we sold. We had the E320 in Cabrilet from the 90s. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do a live drive. I'm not going to be hungry, drove it.
And that got sold at Shannon's for a good price. So we're happy with that. Speaking of acquiring things, I've got a bit of news this week. You've done some handling.
I've done some haggling, I've done some maneuvering. So three and a half years now, actually, a bit more, so I've got to end up 19. We've got to end up with our first live drive. I've got the X5 in competition.
And if anybody that knows me knows, that is the longest I've ever owned a car. It's got 70,000 plus kilometers now out of warranty, with six months out of warranty. And yes, I've modified the car. Yes, I've done some serious modifications.
I've had tunes, I've had turbos, I've had intakes, I've had exhaust, so I've had. Oh shit, sorry, anyway. So yeah. That was the other X5 in the other.
Yeah, yeah. So heavily modified, I have traded it. Oh no, yeah, but we're sitting in 2020. We've traded it on an XM, black on red XM.
Do you say you're holding your name? Yeah, but now it's official. It's official, the car I own it. And it's coming when you're not here.
Correct, so it'll be driving for three weeks. So we'll come back. Two, three hundred kilometers on it. Maybe a few scratches.
A bit of ferris peels. But I've had so many people commenting. So I'm a bit of a, I like to post up on the forums and tell people what I'm doing on those pages. Well, I went to North Shore being dominated.
What did he pay? In the flesh. What did he pay for? So we're not sawing, we're not sawing about the XM.
Everyone's straight to the internet, right? And just pause for a second. Everybody has commented, why did you buy that car? It is dirt ugly.
So you're on the internet, it is fucking bad ugly. And if you said you got the black one, I was worried that you got those red stripes. Look like the stuff. I did, but I had them like that.
I looked at them and thought, oh, that shit. I left the red lipstick on the front. Then I went to the eye event, thank you for inviting us. And there was one there.
And that one was actually mine. It looks like a car that I landed in. Like it's just got this massive road presence. It's like, get fucked car.
Get me, get the fuck out of my way. It's big, it's wide, it's big. Another fucking car. And the back seat is almost like a Rolls.
It's got that lounge curved effect. Black is the right color. I haven't seen live another color. But we saw a gray one.
It's just funny. We saw a gray one and it just didn't work. The lights, the rear lights are a wee, like melting shape. And I think the black hides it well.
Yeah it does. So I'm really excited about that car. That's the first M-built, correct. It's not a BMW car.
It's an M car. Much like how M-G built the GTs. They're not a Mercedes. Correct.
Correct. So back on this whole, it looks like no modifications to this car, Pete. We said that last week. And what happened this morning?
What happened this morning in the car? You told me about some brand new features. So even chewy. Exhaust on its way.
You can get a one there. You can get a one there. You can take that actually made one for my car, which is freaking amazing. So the allow over of the insurance being frantically trying to get X5 in competition intakes done, but because it's an S68 motor, it's because of the S68 motor that I've been able to adapt.
Is it basically the X6? The V8? No, no. So the S63?
Oh, it's so easy. I'm sorry. But the new, the facelifted LCI, X5 in competition, and X6 in competition are running the S68 motor from the M5. That's what this is.
But it's not a model hybrid. This is a proper, proper hybrid. And you can drive the car in electric. So I really, I'm going to enjoy that.
So I've done an intake. I've done the exhaust. There will be no ECU tune because we just don't know what we're going to be doing. But once we get to that stage, we'll stop popping the bottom fucking around.
Which is why you shouldn't like, I mean, don't ever like half from me. No, no, no, no, no, like that engine is like, very, it's very new, very unique. We'll be tuning it. Like there's hybrid, there's four modes.
I'm like, you can drive it like an electric army for, how many Ks, you're hundreds, and then 40, 150 Ks. That's plugging. You can plug that in. Yeah, yeah.
But then you can also turn the battery into to assist the V8. Correct. So it's, you don't want to go around touching that. So I'm not going to touch that.
I'm going to do an intake. You want that? And I have refurged. I've got a few guys.
We're doing some tours over there. So I'll keep everyone updated for, we'll do some quick bites of 45 or 10 minutes. We'll do some quick bites of like, some stuff in modern others. There's a couple of car shows.
We're actually going to see a classic, there's a gentleman over there who has a classic car museum. You need to go and have lunch with him as a chef. So we're going to be doing that. So I'll send you guys from over there some short snippets of people that are posted up and you can follow the trip.
So we'll do it. Yeah. That'd be brilliant. Now it's our first four clues car show.
We're going to be talking about bring our own cars next time. We'll take up a lot of things. I think, yeah, it was no 996 present. So we'll take a turn.
Yeah, I'll stand out. I was going to tell you, you refrigged around a canny van and I got a miseauze. You make a result of some cakes at the back of it. Probably should.
There you go. We'll have some back for coffee. Right us, review us, follow us on Instagram and we'll talk our podcast. I said this to you questions.
We had a few the last couple of weeks. We had the other raving reporter. If you're listening in sequential order, we talked about mustangs being built in Australia. So I've done it.
We've done it. We've done it. We've been doing some facts checking. That check.
So, lately, we've been pulling up ourselves and we make a comment and trying to see if the other hosts did right or wrong. So I did some facts checking. And on the next episode, we'll talk about the history of mustangs in Australia. And I'll spend the talk.
I'll spend the time. And a few other people should end up against that. It'll be the next podcast after this one. Can I just jump in with a sec?
Yeah. Actually, you can do it. I haven't spent much time on it. Test like this car.
You like it though. It's good to see it. I think the electric is not a bad way to go. It's, yeah, it's.
Right us, reviewers. Test and email. That's as you knew. It's what happened to someone.
And we'll get better. He'll voice us to poor Harley. He's all right. He'll set us correctly as his or her marriage.
So, um... All right, thank you for listening. Bye for now. Bye for now.
