#179a GEN-Z'ERS| Absolute vs. Relative Authority
from IM Podcasts · host Dr. Stephen Phinney
Video, By Heart, Worship | Man’s opinions, or laws, are subjective and relative. When we attempt to function under our “opinion” on a matter, we determine what is “good” and “evil” according to the mind of Satan. We then see that whatever is personally thought at present to be beneficial to “self” is the law and doctrines of God, twisted as that may sound. On the other hand, since God’s Law is absolute, He determines whatever He, out of His infinite goodness, justice, and love, states to be ultimately for man’s blessing and His glory. If He decides to reject anything that is inconsistent with His perfect will, He then categorically labels it as evil. This Truth is immovable and man’s “opinion” cannot change what is absolute in the Kingdom of God. This is a public episode.
