#18 - Cobra Kai Season 2 - What Will Happen? Part 2 (or Predictions and Revelations)

from Pop Culture On Blast: Entertainment News, Reviews and Discussion

What will happen in Cobra Kai Season 2? In this episode of Pop Culture on Blast, Justin and Josh discuss their theories and predictions on the upcoming sophmore season. Most of the speculation on Season 2 comes from the teaser trailer. As of this recording, only the teaser trailer was available but now a full length trailer has been released which has revealed more about season 2. The end of the first season hints at the Cobra Kai dojo and Miyagi do coming head to head in a battle of supremacy in the valley. We discuss how we think that will play out in the highly anticipated second season that is set to be released on April 24. Episode Topics (Parts 1 & 2): The Return of John Kreese: At the end of the first season, John Kreese returns. What will his return mean for Johnny Lawrence and Cobra Kai? What will be revealed about his character? Cobra Kai vs. Miyagi Do: The conflict in the show is leading towards a confrontation between these two karate dojos but it is also becoming about two disparate philosophies. Which is the better philosophy and which will be victorious? What Will Happen to Johnny Lawrence in Season 2? Will Johnny accept John Kreese as a sensei and father figure once more? If he does or does not, what will that mean for him and Cobra Kai? Will Samantha and Robby Get Together? Season one suggests a love triangle forming between Samantha, Robby and Miguel. Robby is most certainly attracted to Samantha but is she interested in him? Does she need to be either of them, or does she have a separate path? Ali with an "I": Will Elizabeth Shue return as Ali Mills? There appears to be some interest in her character returning but is it a good idea? If the character does return, how could it be pulled off? How Will Daniel LaRusso Change in Season 2? We feel Daniel's character doesn't completely work as a car dealer. Will he leave this life behind and focus on Miyagi Do? What other conflict will enter into his life? Miguel Diaz is the New Bad Guy: Miguel gained confidence and drive in the first season but has he turned to the dark side? If so, how will he be redeemed? Season 2 like Karate Kid Part II? The first season echoed story beats of the first film, so will the second season have things in common with the second film? Will the combat be real??? It certainly seems plausible. Will Terry Silver or Mike Barnes return? Will the villains of Karate Kid III make appearances in Cobra Kai? Although it made sound far fetched at this point, we would really love to see these characters return. Cobra Kai Season 3: If there is a third season, what could happen? Could it follow the dramatic beats of the third movie? So many questions.   Pop Culture On Blast is on Youtube Pop Culture On Blast in on Google Play Music  Click and subscribe to us in iTunes  Music: Disco Sting Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Backbay Lounge Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
