18. Creating Goals

from The Resilient Heart Podcast Hosted by Beverly Shoemaker

In episode 18 I share about creating goals. In episode 17 I made a statement about fail to plan, plan to fail. What do we do to set up a plan? Setting a goal creates a clear idea for what you ultimately want to accomplish. We need to first understand that God created you specifically for a purpose. He put a passion and a purpose in your heart. It's always a good idea to have multiple ranges of goals. Long range, mid-range and short range. Prioritize your goals by importance and passion. After experiencing trauma it's easy to let those passionate goals go by the wayside. God wants to breathe your dry bones back to life. You have to partner with him and put your feet to it, have action and set goals to attain that dream again. In Psalm 37:4-5 it says: Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in him and he will do it. Ask God to come beside you and help cast that vision. Do you need a mentor to help guide you with your goals? Beverly offers coaching and mentoring. Check it out here.
