#18 - Daphne Deckers, over haar modellenbestaan, haar liefde voor schrijven en het verlies van haar vader (S02)

Daphne Deckers is te gast in de podcast ‘Levensbepalend’. Ze groeit op in het kleinste dorpje van Nederland; Persingen. Ze groeit niet op in een religieus nest maar zingt als kind in het katholieke kerkkoor. Haar wereld wordt stukken groter wanneer ze als fotomodel gaat wonen en werken in Parijs, Milaan en New York. Later gaat ze presenteren en acteren. Ze is zelfs nog te zien in een James Bond film. Als kind wil ze eigenlijk schrijfster worden, daar neemt ze in de loop van haar carrière steeds meer tijd voor. Bekend worden haar boeken over opvoeden. Inmiddels heeft ze 24 boeken op haar naam staan. In 2018 overleed haar vader aan de gevolgen van dementie. Het verlies deed haar stil staan bij de eindigheid van het leven.
