#18. Faith, Beliefs, and Coaching

from The Physician Philosopher Podcast · host Jimmy Turner, MD

My faith was the reason for getting into coaching in the first place. But admitting my religious beliefs publicly usually does two things-- brings people closer or pushes them away. This episode is about having conversations with people who are different from us. It's about removing the stigma, it's about meeting people where they are, and it's about loving our differences while we help each other be better people. Getting o'vr our differences in faith and belief helps us show up for others (and ourselves) in a way that doesn't discriminate. When we remove the judgmental lenses we're sometimes nurtured to have, we impact more, love fruitfully, and, at the end of the day, are better human beings.  Are you currently facing your own mirror while meeting others where they are? Please let me know. I'd love to read your thoughts. Email me at [email protected]
