The topic of fatherhood is one that rarely comes up in hip-hop, unless it is via the many stories about rappers either owing back child support or being absentee fathers altogether. These stories tend to take the focus off the other half of the equation, the mother. In this episode, a fun discussion about dumb rapper stuff transforms into a deep conversation about fatherhood, being denied access to your child, what it feels like when your father isn't around, and why hip-hop journalists cover these stories the way they do.
