18 Insect Industry

Insects are with all probability not very high on the list of “favourite” patients. However, the insect industry is a very diverse industry.  Insects are used for example in pollination, but also as a possible form of potentially more sustainable protein production. We are talking about insect health and welfare with Niek Steeghs who has been involved in this sector for many years. There are also opportunities for vets to get involved in research on health and welfare of insects.
