Conan has come to Keshan to ingratiate himself with the rulers so that he can find out where the country's sacred crown jewels are hidden and steal them. But a Stygian rogue has come with the same scheme. Soon both of them are sneaking around the sacred temple, each trying to use the magically preserved body of the Keshan goddess to gain the upper hand.
