18. Living with ADHD and SPD through A Sensory Emotional Lens

from A Sensory Emotional Lens · host Great Kids Place

In today’s episode, I’m shifting to my parent lens!  In addition to being an Occupational Therapist working with children and families with sensory processing differences and social emotional differences, I am also a mom to two kids with both sensory processing differences and ADHD.  If the last few episodes helped you identify that there are sensory motor capacities impacting your child’s attention, activity level, hyperactivity, and tendency toward impulsivity - you are likely wondering, what do I do now?  From a parent's perspective, I’ll share insights and my journey with my children. In this episode you’ll discover: First-hand examples of ways to parent sensory processing differences and ADHD simultaneously with a sensory emotional lifestyle  Ways to implement sensory motor strategies to support your child’s attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity  Examples for parenting with a sensory emotional lens for a child with ADHD-hyperactive type  Examples for parenting with a sensory emotional lens for a child with ADHD-inattentive type  Join our community!
