#18 Matt O'Brien

YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/@behindthewhistle Bold Opinion - This is the most powerful podcast episode IN THE WORLD for referees in any sport (so far 😜). I don't care if Joe Rogan has interviewed referees or what - this is the one. . Matt O'Brien is a world class rugby union referee. He refereed 5 seasons (181 games) of the rugby 7's World Series (of which only 8 referees in the world are selected to officiate). Matt's more than vast experience within the game and in life bring with him an enormous amount of knowledge and wisdom for us to capitalise on in this episode. . We get deep into the psychology of refereeing and cover a whole lot in a short time. This is one of those episodes you'll want to hear twice and get out your pen and paper for 🤓. . Thank you to Matt for generously donating his time to help the future of sports officiating 🙏.
