#18 - Savannah Pagan: Multipotentialist, The Tyranny of Majors, and Steve Jobs

from The UIUC Talkshow · host The UIUC Talkshow

Savannah Pagan considers herself a multipotentialist who brings together the art of engineering and the simplicity of design. As a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she has experienced the pressures of the college system from the tyranny of majors to the facade of learning.   We explore the question: "Are Multipotentialists Allowed at all?" A question that led us to explore how to break out of a system that makes people lose their minds, quite literally.  Along with Steve Jobs, Marty McFly and Doc Brown, and Arnold Beckman, we sit down to have a unique conversation to reflect on exactly how we want to contribute to this world. A question Savannah has spent the last two years intensely pondering.  Life can be hard and finding your place can be even harder. We hope this conversation gives you the confidence to put a little bit of faith to understand yourself, follow your curiosity, and live your life to the fullest. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS, AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, PREPARE TO BE AMAZED BECAUSE THIS IS ... THE UIUC TALKSHOW!
