180: The Jaunt with Peter Atencio
from The Kingcast Hosted by FANGORIA Podcast Network
The Jaunt is quite possibly Stephen King's scariest story, all about the perils of ignoring safety protocols while using teleportation technology. While the episode only clocks in at just over an hour and fifteen minutes, it's longer than you think.

What this episode covers
Director Peter Atencio (Key & Peele, The Last Man On Earth, Keanu) joins The Kingcast boys to talk a little bit about his upcoming Bert Kreischer comedy The Machine as well as Will Forte's superhuman kindness and some chitchat about existential horror involving teleportation. The Jaunt may be one of King's most successful short stories, but it hasn't been adapted yet. We break down why that is, what a good adaptation could look like and the one controversial Stephen King title Atencio would kill to make.
