from jENI NO PIKA PIKA NIHONGO 日本語

Hello. Welcome to Jenni's Pika Pika Japanese. Well, the cherry blossom season is over in Japan, but you can still often see pink cherry-like flowers when you walk around town. I found such a pink flower yesterday when I was walking around town, so I took a picture of it. Do you know what this is? It looks like cherry blossoms, but upon closer inspection, the flowers appear larger, round and fluffy. This is called yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossom), which has 20 to 70 petals, compared to the 5 petals of the regular Someiyoshino cherry blossom, and is called yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossom) in contrast to the single-petaled cherry blossom of the regular cherry blossom. The blooming season is just around this time of the year, when someiyoshino cherry blossoms start to bloom after someiyoshino cherry blossoms have fallen. Today's Japanese lesson is the basic form of interrogative sentences. Is X Y? The "ika" is an invariant verb that expresses a question. Is Kim a student? Is Kim a student? X: Mr. Kim Y: student The affirmative answer is. Yes, Kim is a student. Negative answer. No, Mr. Kim is not a student. Please listen to the audio for more details. Is Kim a student?
