181: Where did Jesus go When He Died?

"I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell". This is the opening line of the Apostles Creed, but what do they mean by "He descended into hell"?Did he go down to hell? Is "hell" in that statement the same hell that we think of? Where did Jesus go when he died?
