„Freie Fahrt für freie Bürger!“ Vor 30 Jahren war das das Motto auf Hamburgs Straßen. Die Folge: bis zu 300 Verkehrstote jährlich. Die Hamburger hatten sich daran gewöhnt. Doch ein Unfall am 20. Juni 1982 in der Ottensen änderte alles. Proteste der Bürger führten dazu, dass die Holländische Reihe die erste Straße Hamburgs wurde, auf der in gesamter Länge Tempo 30 gilt. Und etliche weitere Straßen folgten.
