After obtaining her Bachelor's Degree from Howard University, she started her career at Verizon and has been there for 11 years.  In 2017, she started  "From the Ground Up" - a series to meet small business owners and give them a platform to share their stories. Outside of her work at Verizon, Lily runs the Eve Brand and  specializes in assisting businesses learn how to secure sponsorships and funding.
