In Jesus' final hours He prayed to the Father for Himself, His Disciples, and all believers yet to come. These were the most important things on His heart and mind. What should be predominant in a believers mind? To love The Lord our God with our heart, soul and mind. A divine, dedicated love. We are to love a Supreme God, supremely. Jesus reminded us in His last hours how much He loved us. Will we show our love for Him? He loved us enough to lay down His life for us. He demonstrated it purely. His Word promises, "draw near to God and He will draw near to you." But also we must examine our hearts continually to walk obediently. The Spirit transforms us to live out righteous lives. "Lord we desire that you are our First Love. Enable us Lord to love You supremely, walk obediently and bring You glory through our life for You. Pour out Your Spirit to enable us to walk holy lives."
