183: Medical excellence: Looking at university relations, doctor mentorship, and externships

Christina Moore, DVM, MBA, graduated from Texas A&M University with her DVM and MBA in 2012. She then completed a one-year rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship in NYC, which is where she met her husband. Following the internship, she practiced in a private general practice in Pennsylvania before moving back to New York and into a role recruiting veterinarians for VCA. Through great mentors, she joined Thrive Pet Healthcare over six years ago. With Thrive's rapid growth, she has experienced significant professional growth and has worn many hats including sole recruiter, Senior Director of Recruiting, and her current role, Sr. Dir. University Relations and Doctor Mentorship - her dream job. In her spare time, she loves to hike, read, and play outside with her husband, Oliver, & two children, Magnus and Olina, as well as her two furry kids (dogs), Frankie and Baxter.
