Il catecumeno entra in chiesa recitando il Credo e il Pater noster. Infine si fa l'ultimo esorcismo presso il Fonte battesimale, poi si fanno i voti del Battesimo. Dopo aver rinunciato il demonio, il bambino è unto sul petto e alle spalle per significare che ha lasciato la schiavitù del demonio, cioè il suo giogo che si porta sul cuore e sulle spalle. Poi il bambino si consacra totalmente a Gesù Cristo con la professione del Credo.
