#185: Artist Brent Scotchmer

Sketch artist and collector Brent Scotchmer returns to the program to talk about his recent work for the Star Wars Galactic Antiquities card set, and a lot of collector talk. Masterwork was one of the regular high end sets of the pre-pandemic era and was usually found at the end of the year.Galactic Antiquities arrived in the Topps SWCT app.The latest issue of (Apr/May 25) has a nice retrospective article on the Living Set, one year after the 500 card set came to a close. In 2019 Kris Penix was signed on to do 2 arts portraits of Star Wars characters that were made into cards featuring the classic 1977 design. Later on the run, Carlos Cabaleiro was added to the roster and he and Kris had an amazing run of work on the set. I was fortunate enough to be interviewed by writer Bryan Pillai for the piece along with both artists.
