187: Ask Denis: Working Through Change and Resilience

from Leadership Is Changing

Over my years in leadership I’ve learned that things like change and resilience are easy to talk about but much, much harder to do. It can be quite daunting to see things go outside of our control, but those are the things we don’t need to focus on. So in this episode, let’s take a deeper look at the things we CAN control and how we can use them to navigate difficult or unexpected situations. Tune in and learn more about working through change and resilience. On this episode:Change is not easy no matter how much people talk about it. At the end of the day you can’t control the things you can’t control. But you CAN control your attitude, your mindset, and where you’re going next. What is resilience really? How do you do it well? I give the example of the journey I went through with my voice to draw a picture around how my attitude and mindset set the foundation for the resilience I would need to get through it. With that, I’ll give you 3 things to do to build up resilience in difficult situations.Key Takeaways:Change and resilience is hard to doLearn to control your attitude and where you’re going nextThe definition of resilienceRemember to breathe Thinking through thingsAsk for help!Tweetable Quotes:“Many people talk about change, many people talk about resilience, not many do it very well.” - Denis Gianoutsos“If you could take out a small amount of time per week to think and start thinking through things, just imagine what you could achieve.” - Denis Gianoutsos“For someone to be resilient, it’s because they have knowledge.” - Denis GianoutsosReach out to Denis:Email: [email protected]: http://www.leadingchangepartners.com/ Leadership Is Changing Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LeadershipIsChanging/Leadership is Changing LinkedIn Page:https://www.linkedin.com/company/leadership-is-changing-podcast/
