Dr. Monte Hunter, M.D. is an orthopedic sports medicine surgery specialist at Augusta University Medical Center. He holds multiple titles, including the Henry Distinguished Chair of Orthopedics and the Satcher Distinguished Chair in Sports Medicine, both in Orthopedic Surgery. He is also the Department Chair Professor for Orthopedic Surgery at Augusta University. Before joining Augusta University, he worked as a team physician for Wake Forest University and for UCLA intercollegiate teams. Hunter also served as the physician for the Italian team training for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA.
