Let's play the theme tune. How to GT was a two-day UK-TC event, it was the first time I've done an Oxford location. It ended up being 250. It was a rough fight.

It was in the back of the lead, so easy enough to get to. There were a lot of high names there. Steve was watching there. Yes, right on the kill switch was awesome.

A few of us went, obviously us three. We joined with Steve and Martin, who's not been on the broadcast. He was a T-shirt. He's part of the team mystic.

It was a really good day. A couple of days. Long, long firing days. Very long.

I was exhausted today. In future, we will be bringing Alfie with us to Squire and provide beverages and sacks throughout the day. We played five games, because I guess spoilers, none of us made it to top four. We chose not to.

It was a long day. Game one, it was my win. I then went on to lose the next four games. It was a good day.

A couple of days. Game one. I played Deathguard all day. All event.

Game one, I played Space Marines. He was the Iron Storms beard. He had a couple of dreads. No planes.

Land Raider. Land Raider with Dima, which I was quite scared about. The Overwatch. The Overwatch.

My good anti-tank on my infantry. I managed to charge him with my Rhino. On his turn, he didn't fall back with it with his Land Raider. On my turn, they just got out.

I played Marines just got out and then charged him. I'm going to Overwatch. No. Shit.

It's an out of phase ability. Sorry. I should have followed it. I'm glad you didn't.

Anyway, here's a nice ticket. It's dead now. I scored 98 to 71. I was one happy with that.

Big numbers. I think I might be the highest teams to explore today. Potentially. Yes, 94.

But I fucked myself going into the game too then. I went up against the tyranny player. I just don't know what tyranny to do. I got destroyed.

I only scored 50 that game. The guy I lost to went on to finish seventh. He drew his last game. I haven't learned that.

He just missed. Top Cup. Last game of day one was the Deathguard Mirror. A guy from the Dicot club that we do some of their tournaments.

It was Perf the foe. I hate Perf the foe. I think I'm yet to win Perf the foe. If I'd done, if I could have finished one wound on his Play I managed to kill Magnus with Mortarian.

That's all right. I'm made more of it. But in doing so my play burst pawn is in a couple of other bits died. And then it also came down to could I do enough damage on the tank shock to them to pile in and get on an objective.

And there's too many little variables when it came to the end that I lost and the last game I had Firestorm, the Assault Force. Just double Enrader Redema. Those things that I deserved the Sannon's and Sannon's. He had a Brutalist, not as well.

A normal Redemptor. He did some other annoying things. He was just like bones and the rings the whole time. It was rough.

I couldn't get to anything to properly connect. And lost some getting like this. But it was good. I think I could have deployed maybe better.

But I think it would be more aggressive. But I mean, Deathguard, I've got a good spot. Yeah, I just kind of wish I came up against slightly more infantry. Yeah.

I think my list was slightly too skewed to anti-imprintry. But all of you thought really highly for all of your losses. Yes, I did. Yeah.

So you're doing the right things. Just not quite enough. But that's kind of lost a very nice loss, isn't it? Yeah.

You've not lost issue by tactically badly. You've lost two states. It's going to be nice. Yeah.

Is it like with the Deathguard I got a one. The thousands of them victory was within my grass. There we are. So who wants to go next?

I can complain next. No, I should have really nice two days. It sounded a bit my first game, though. I went through to, which was my objective.

I was really pleased with that. As of the time, it was, you know, it was a 67 rate, which is higher than the character space marine one. So I was pleased to be in the odds. First game against Volcan.

I don't actually think I'd ever been beaten that resoundly in a game at Warhammer. It was 97 to 47 in the end. We had a falling out of my opponent and I quite quickly, which started with a lot of the time. Which started with he picks up one of his vehicles to move it.

I declared an Overwatch, turned my CP dice over, rolled my Dark Pact, rolled the number of shots, at which point he then went, Oh, no, I'm not going to move it. Then if you go to Overwatch. I was like, well, you said you got into my no, no, but your Dark Pact, you know, I thought about that. And the re-rolls, I said, oh, it's not a game.

You very clearly said you understood all my packs and that was that. And you know, I'm not moving it, put it back down. And I was a bit like, okay. And at that point I should call the judge over it.

I had four wounds left. I would kill the thing. I was a game changer. I don't think I still win the game.

We then had a couple of disagreements around what playing with intent was. My understanding, well, I've always played with intent. My opponents always played with intent is you do your best to move everything to where you want it to be. And you discuss with your opponent what your, your joint perception of the board is.

So I've moved this thing. I don't think you should be able to see it if you move to there or you can't see it from there. Do you agree with that? Yes.

I've got enough movement to do this, but for the speed of the game. I have to say, I think on that, but also the idea that if you're saying this can't be shot, you both need to check that that's okay. So you can't just go, I'm moving that so it can't be shot. Yeah.

Obviously, yeah. You need to be accurate when you play with intent. And the first time this happened was he picked up two of his little buggy things and all the such a touch ties, picked him up from a run and went, I've got loads of movement, didn't measure, picked them both up and put them down. And then kind of moved on with his life.

Then came to shooting phase and he went, I'm going to shoot your vindicator, shot with one of them, AP when you went through, okay, you shoot the next one, right? I'll get a cover from that one. Well, no, you don't get a cover. So I'm going to take measure out and measure this.

I'm like, yeah, I do. This is behind the line. And he went, but my intent was you didn't get covered. Yeah, that's not how it works.

And I was like, yeah, I do get covered. He went right, well, I plenty of movement. And he just literally noticed about two inches. I was like, oh, but we don't know if you have plenty of movement, because you didn't measure.

Yeah. And actually, if I'm measuring from there to there, you don't, I don't think you actually could get to where you were. And he was like, no, no, no, I said that you weren't going to get covered. I don't remember him saying it.

You might have muffin, it is he's moving things. So that was my intent. You don't get covered. At which point, I just said, look, that's the game you want to play.

You keep playing that game. Like how about it? Again, sugar called the judge, but I just thought this guy's a little wanker. Two turns and this is, in fact, this is turn one at this point.

Oh, well, it's going to be unpleasant. And shortening a judge, baby, sitting in the game. I don't know how this is going to go. Turn two, he moves some of his shooting boys out and says, yeah, so this should all be in range.

Then proceeds to start shooting. I was looking thinking, look, it's actually quite fast. So what's the range on these? He went 18, got to take measure out.

So actually two or three of your guys aren't in range. Oh, but it was my intent that they were all in range. And I said, okay, but they're not in range. And she said, you're just trying to got to me.

And he started to get quite, it was almost like a pepula. Like, you're trying to get to me. You're trying to get to me. No, I'm not trying to get to you.

But you can play with intent, but you need to play accurately. And three of those guys aren't in range. But I had the movement. So I just moved on that.

And I said, okay, but now those three guys are not in cover. So I may have over watched them when you move them because you haven't got that. I'm suddenly like, you need to, because you're infantry and other my re-rolls. That actually changes what would happened five minutes ago.

And he was very adamant that I was trying to spout your rim. And I was like, that's not what I'm doing. I'm trying to play with intent. I'm just trying to play accurately.

Then the big, the big cock up, unlike the big thing I did at Messup, I had on the app, swiped one round extra. So I was scoring one round the heads. So when I was looking at the app and swiping, I was like, we've got one turn left. And I thought it was time five.

It was actually time four. Now that's on me to pay attention to his play. Where it felt a bit dirty was that I had a conversation with him and was like, right, so last time of the game, so we try and score Max points on. It's more of a hold at the end of the battle.

You get points. So I moved that one out and moved some of the things out and it was all a bit of a, I'm just going to hope that I could go my way in the final turn and I'll still be holding some things. And he said, yeah, that makes sense. Makes sense.

We then got to his turn. And I said, that's going to be a lot of scoring game. Like, I appreciate you'll get 15 here. But was he scoring, did he know what that was?

He knew what that was. So when I placed it to the point where I then kind of went, it's turn five and you went, that's not turn four. And I was like, I think it was my intent to be turn five. And I completely, no, it was my business to be managing what round I'm in.

But so it explicitly said to him, because this is the last turn of the game, I'm going to do these things and say, yeah, that makes sense. And it's not to be the last turn. But yeah, that is just really slimy because he would have scored you as like, oh, you're on two different or whatever. That's that and you're there.

Yeah. Well, let me move on to these and score later. And he's already scored. He was like, yeah.

Yeah. So again, I know that was my fault. But I think that it was really bad sportsmanship of him to have not corrected me on the turn count. Yeah.

So I left that game feeling really low. I know the reports were actually called the judge, but at the same time, I think when you're playing that sort of moment, it's never going to be a pleasant game. It was the second game of all time. He did get a couple of things wrong, like when he was in the judgment, so he was in things like that.

I don't think that if he moved things like that, it wouldn't have been a difference. I thought it would have been a loss. It's a really bad deployment for my tank list and whatever. He's sort of what, but it wouldn't have been the 97-47 smack about that I got.

Yeah, it would have been like an 1870 or even like a, you know, 97-65 or something. Sure. And that kind of felt crap. It did feel crap.

Almost as though I was the second game, but a Blodenjals player had a really good time. Yeah, I'm a nice guy. We were reminding each other of things like, do you want to move those guys or he was going, well, just pick a scout at the end. That's going to be kind of six inches.

So it was actually a really nice game. You can talk through it all. I ended up winning that. I think that's my highest.

No, it wasn't. I was 78-49. Which is why I chose. Shook hands had a really good time.

Did not shake hands with my opponent on him. Game three. I played a really great guy playing Admatch, offered me a beer. I think he had a couple.

Yeah, there was some demon players playing to game three. I had a really good fun game there where he busted about the indestructibility of his big robot. I think the castle and robots are what they called. I've been on kills six or seven of them by himself.

I think I did the math. I've been on picks up between 700 and 900 points. I've been on just clutching for me. I had a really disappointing first time at 10.1 at 10.2.

My opponent was just ended by being like, yeah, if you hadn't had a shit first and second turn, I'd probably been table turn three. So that's my 3.7.4. Fourth game was genuinely one of the best games of all time where I played. I played against the guard player.

I had a view of League Inverted. I was really, really, really converted to try to guard list. I was really, really, really gorgeous. RK on was his Lord Solaris.

It was a really beautiful, beautiful list. It came down to, so I won that 81-78. It came down to him failing nine-inch charge in the final ten of the game. Oh, with a reroll.

Yeah, so he would win the game had a charge. Again, Abaddon came and clutched out lots of rerolls. He survived. So he was on four wounds and he survived.

I think it was three man-to-course, a tank commander, two swaths of kar skin. Lord Solaris is swod. It must have been over a thousand points of guard shooting. And Abaddon attacked it from four wounds down to one wound.

I've never rolled so hot in my life. I healed him for three wounds back. She survived an Overwatch from a tank commander, made an 11-inch charge into a tank commander, picked up another sword of kar skin and just emptied a quarter of the board by himself, which was satisfying to see. Final game was against the Hyper Court.

Hyper Court. Necronomy. I didn't have fun playing the game. My opponent was an alright guy.

But it was just that I can pick up four units and turn them down. And that became a... it felt interactive. I'm trying to hide.

I'm trying to position my models really carefully. But you cannot screen a kitan. It's on a 40mm base. It's really hard to...

Oh, that one. Yeah, they're not going to bring it. And even the other one. No, the unnamed kitan.

No, trans-out. It's quite a small base. It's not a 60mm. It's not a boy driving.

It's hard to screen them out. So it's just like there's a kitan in the other blim zone. Or roughly in the middle. So here's a migraine in the middle.

So there's lots of stuff where it was just a bit... Christ. I just can't hide. And I'm just losing stuff every single one.

And I'm not really able to identify anything. I did manage to kill all three of the kitanians using. Again, having on killball three, which was satisfying my personal level for me. But I just couldn't get on the scoreboard because he was just killing everything.

So that was a 97-69 to him. I think he and my first game opponent came to the top 25. So there were players. But it was just one of those games where I was like, I don't know if it was a way I could...

There was a path to victory. Because, yeah, I was just saying I think we should put down my deployment zone. Or they were moving off board. And then I was just like, I was like, I was just saying, I think we should put down my deployment zone.

Or they were moving off board and coming back on. I think the general advice is you have to just kill them. You have to kill them. Which is a lot easier said than them.

Because they have got the insane mobility. It also depends on the list. They've got a lot of destroyers in that list. They've got a lot of destroyers in that list.

They've got four. And then the big ones with the... No, the destroyers are like the bikes. No, no, no, no.

So there was the... That was bloody... The sniper ones. They got one shot each.

Yeah, strength 14 or something. They have a lot of six damage. So that picked up. They picked up all the tanks.

Oh, do you do the try box? No, they are a whole rewind. One of the things, they're on the Chaset and Chaset and then... I think they've got the Seth Marks.

No, no, no. It's definitely not the first one I've got. They're cool ones. They're not the heavy destroyers, are they?

They might be. Whatever it was. They had a fucking 40-inch range gun. Strength 14, AP4, flat six damage.

And that was just like, I'm going to shoot that. What's the AP4? Oh, right. I don't get...

Flat six hurt as well. Yeah. I've had MJ fuck me up. The low-cost damage to us.

Before of them. And they just told all the tanks. And that was like, my ability to kill three hits just went out the window. They just had a line of sight.

Yeah, they just got it. Well, they just got back down. Back down. Back down.

Back down. And then being able to heal them in reserve, they're not on the board. And for a CP, you can heal them. What?

Yeah. How interactive is that? But that was just once my tanks were gone, I've never actually went down. Swinging mine.

Yeah. But I actually couldn't kill anything after that point. And so, okay. You scored some points.

I did say something. It turns three. This is an up-to-y academic if you would like to talk this out. And he was like, yeah, yeah.

And then just kept killing things. He was like, okay. Please. It is a good academic.

Anyway, here's my guys. Abadon's dares, leave him alone. But I kind of... I think I realised that that game, that's one of the...

In our practice game, like, Abadon is an absolutely melee monster. He, even with five terminators, is just glass cannon. Sure. So, there are so many things in Warhammer now that I can pick up five months, I mean, it's what.

I had abadons. He's got nine wounds. But he's T5. So, once the ten minutes go down, he's just a ten minutes of nine wounds.

And if you've got something that can kill five ten minutes, you've definitely got something that kills Abadon. Because he's just three ten minutes. And that's the problem I think you're abadons and you've got to run into. In Knight's edition, there was at least an acknowledgement that these guys are primarked here characters.

And now they are the same stats as Abadon, all of the same stats as Abadon. Yeah, those can't kill Mega Knobs. Yeah. And even if you were to kill the five or six Mega Knobs, he's with.

In the same interaction, you still got a four of film a pain. And the carving has a two of invulnerable. If you fail, he's got a four of film no pain. It's just the same interaction as the Mega Knobs.

And then you back on your two of invulnerable. It's the glass cannon nature of, I think, the Abadon unit. And Abadon is the balance point, but he's slowing those five inches and he's just the dude. You don't have to each other, you transfer.

I'm the only one with the cast land raider like. Yeah. Yeah, because it's a five minute move. Yeah, maybe.

That'll be wicked. But then you've got your investment of like, that's actually a thousand points. Yeah. But you've got a fucking land raider.

It's just rocking up with these glass cannons in the middle of the board, T12. There's a lot of things that struggle to get on. Maybe this is the plate was Abadon in some legionaries, not the seven eighties in a land raider. I think legionaries are super hot now.

I think 80 points they are. It was just the volume in the ranks again in the game and the up and down each I running abadon it, it's just so low. It's just hard. Does it take up the spot of two, I yeasant on their armor?

Yeah. So you could have a 10 man legionary squad. So that might be a, that's scary. Yeah.

But the Microsoft action. Yeah, which I only realize in that tournament, this is my big tournament takeaway. You declare the advance in charge after you've made all your advance rolls, which is gross. So I can roll.

I've got, I think, six or seven smash units in my army. I can advance all seven units and then pick the scary one. I've got all the four, my possessed roll, six, they just move 15 inches. They're going to be hit to charge it.

And that was a big takeaway just to go. It's just in your movement face. So you cannot, when I'm all selected to move and that was a fun game for a lot of people. Please read this.

This is what it does. Yeah. Where were you game one? The only way it interacted with this before I was asked about it because that's what it is.

It was, they're laughing silently, but I went to tell my feelings to stop hurts. It was that, um, take game five, my opponent, I went to dark pack for that. Excuse me. Yeah, you can't do that.

Just can't. You can't, you've got one for face. It's not the case. So I opened up my half, read the rule, word for word to him and held my phone and said, would you like to check this?

And he said, no, no, no, no, no, no. And he was just typing things into his phone repeatedly. But yeah, I often my opponent, my phone's going to verify the rule. And he stood there for about four minutes checking on.

We hadn't clocked to that point. So I was just like, well, it's the last game. I'm not winning. I can't be asked this for the game.

And we weren't, we weren't in risk. I got to take on it. But, yeah, he just wouldn't believe me. And he told me to start the game.

He played chess competitively. So, you only realize the market's less than you. Yeah, that's not an arbibular thing. That was just me harking back to ninth where the advance in charge was when you set the unit to move or that kind of extent.

So, yeah, but the dark packs thing, because the play with Abadon is you can dark, because when you dark pack it when you shoot, you don't actually need a target to shoot. So Abadon is able to make a dark pack every turn. The harvest team is not fighting a shooting. And that's one of the things you can do with him because that's, you know, you've given him the target.

So, Calgar, Azrael, not Dante, though. If you want to see him turn. Yeah. Abadon is you get one on a two up if you make a successful dark pack.

There's a couple dice rolls involved in getting there, but he's got at least five. Yeah. I was saying that, game one. I got no secret.

That's rough. But, yeah, that's just a weird moment when my opponent told me to start the game, he understood my list completely because he played competitive chaos. Then tried to stop me dark pack for twice. You're just setting yourself up for failure.

If you say, I understand your list completely. Start every game. I don't think it's a good thing. Yeah.

Please break out the crayons. I did have a really good time. Again, one was a bit disappointing, particularly as he went on to do well. I was hoping he'd come up against like, you know, you've hit for Jeez, even boxing, just paddling, turns it game two and really ruined his time.

So he didn't, he only lost one. He won four. He was just a prick. Just a prick.

And you know what? I'm pretty sure he's wearing the same clothes two days in a row. Okay. Definitely done.

You done? Yeah. I can take that. I love him again as well.

I went three and two for an overall finish of 89. Yeah. Yeah. Highest place to use the games player.

I can handle him first. My first game was into a jungle Charles on Ashram and Atari. Obviously I was a listener. I was terrified.

He was wearing 18 bouldering, 30 cats looking in two men's calls the best list. And then assorted t-shirts. Grand. Never really played against guard.

I was on cuss boats on triple wardens, two squads guard, two all Irish tenmators, cardis, some characters sprinkled in. So my plan, because I don't know how his only works, was deploy on the line and run it and hope that that's good enough. I was like impressed with how well the wardens didn't for the ballgame. Even with the minus one damage and four ups I think on the first charge I killed four of them.

That's good. Out of the score of six because it's still like with the character in there. It's still like 32 attacks with the same. So I'd say I'm 18, two damage one after it's gone down.

So yeah, kill plenty of them. It ended up being quite a for me, a mid-board grindy game whilst he was throwing mental consoles. I managed to dole out my toughness buffs in a way that I was never doubling up on the minus one damage and the four of your other pain. So I was just reducing his efficiency as much as I could for as long as I could.

It came down to, I think the final score was 73.85 to him and it came down to two small stakes on me, which was, I wrapped in grass, my guard trading unit and I went down the left with them. So I moved into the centre and I'm left. But I already sort of had the left flank locked up. I was worrying unnecessarily about the remnants of stuff that was over there.

I should have just gone straight up the middle because I hadn't considered the secondary cards on the left and my opponent's deck. I believe he got the fence run gold at the end. So that plus the 10 points lane that taking that objective from it to the end would have taken into my favour. Sure.

But I didn't even really love a guy. He spoke to you two towards my first one. So he said, okay, he's discussing a thing. He can discuss it.

He can go slower or as quickly like, play with three. Very good time. A couple of small stakes. But quite happy with how he went overall.

I'm going to, I played into a lad called Dan playing Drikari, who told me that this was his seventh game of 10th vision ever. He was a lovely lad. He wasn't particularly experienced with his list. Or with 10th in general.

That ended as an 80-20. Oh, fucking hell. Yeah. He's called a five on primary twice in that game.

He's got any second to use. He essentially is army for the surface rebodies. I'm winning everything on 10th. I sent the, I don't know what the mission was.

I sent the squad of wardens down one flank, just a single squad of the shield captain. With the intention of, I'll bait a couple of his units over there. Go for the transport. So two transports.

Go that way. That's four units. I don't have to worry about it. It's because of your resources are limited.

And he sent the thousand points after them. And they just blended through them. I don't know if they were going to use the small transport, they charged that, killed it, but I'll consolidate into the guts of it. If you don't kill any wardens, then the next them, the ones killed them, and I can sort of once got a wardens, dude, that way for a thousand points.

So that seems to be the king'smen. Yeah. Just like they just, they just kept going. And like eventually they, eventually like he whittled them down once the feeling of games done.

There was just the shield captain left, covering Gore and no doubt, held around him. Not even out of breath. Yeah. So yeah, that was quite good.

But I have nice long chat with him afterwards. from my perspective what he could have done differently and we also have to talk about Purge to vote which was the round 3 mission and so you need to make sure like you're committing enough to kill the unit with your targeting and not going piecemeal yeah which is if you go piecemeal you end up not score the character you get a lot of staff to see yeah and a little bit like that and I'm going to catch up with the end of round 5 and he's having to add improved games after that so nice nice to see how he went again round 3 purge the vote I was paying into Chuckle Gale from Black Road Gaming he gave him a little business card for his podcast we were on Purge to vote he was my sisters and he was playing the full msu sisters little squad of five I was playing casos I think Valyrian and his unit of wardens just stayed in a room the whole game on an objective because they just didn't need to come out and I got a couple of big charges on term 2 that got me into his deployment zone he just kept moving back and kept moving back and I just kept pushing forward and because sisters again T3 bodies small units I was able to just every turn a kill 3 or 4 units yeah you can't answer that into casos you're not killing 3 units so that's in a fashion I guess very difficult to kill more than a make your more and a particular highlight of that game was the Blade Champion squad they charged into more than Val and some paragon lawsuits I decided to go with the precision option on the blade champion yeah the rest of the attacks and finish he had one suit left it's a bad day he didn't go well from there and yeah Valyrian was just on his side over the whole time that was the end of game day 3 so it was 2 on the end of day 3 it was quite happy with that even though round team was a bit of a soft game he was still on the phone and round 4 I was playing a chuckled Allen on brainites and he said it started the game like we're running let's just have fun and see what happens we spoke through how both of our arms worked and I made sure I specifically mentioned fight first and said yeah I know I'm going to be careful of fighting first he pulled his land raider up with a squad of things he put in some of the termators with the grandmaster that he had the city of the exigent song came out of his land raider charged into my squad of wardens I said okay I'm gonna fight first and he said shit I forgot about the fight first immediately and I picked up four terminators out of that unit and then killed them in my turn 1 sorry it killed them in my turn 2 so I've done first so I have 2CP fight first is yeah so fucking powerful we forget about it yeah and that's a win that sales a little bit but you still made a very tricky game obviously with the amount of jumping around the grey notes can do I again I didn't really have to deal with it I was sort of stranded in the middle a little bit I managed to bring a lot of his dreadnights low so when they dropped back in I didn't have to have a huge amount to commit into them to finish them off so I managed to do his 3 dreadnights my shield captain basically for his land raider for 4 turns just to stop his land raider doing what it wanted to do and yeah that was an 8877 finish in that one that was also the first game with held a satin survived the whole game a little bit further yeah survived on a single wound on an objective at the back and a lot of down for me nice the last round I was playing against Tony very talented player I think it was from the Warric City on town really high energy for round 5 he was literally singing dancing around he was putting his units down and we rolled and he went first which is bad in that matchup and we were on the course of deployments but it's the one where the central room is just outside of your deployment yeah so I was really limited on where I could get cover so I sort of tried to use the angle on the room to get some wardens range if I go first I'm going to move the building if I don't go first I pop a floor up the other day and try and survive it and he went first and he managed to swing around he spent about 10 minutes of his turn measuring out the maximum charge ranges of all of my units measuring out all of his ranges but he died down where they were and then we just said like this is it yeah that'll work since I had a nice shoot shoot shoot shoot and I just was taking it apart and the whole game he kept his key stuff either 18 or 24 inches away from my unit so I never charged them played incredibly well I had a couple of four rolls my shield captain my great champion rolled really poor on dances along the one and we rolled into a two which meant that they couldn't advance far enough to ruin hop either take my short dances and stand out and try and survive because there's not so much on this flank or I stay in the building in my deployment zone and die here like those are my options so I decided to push forward and I died into the ruins instead of dying in the building and we got to the top turn three and I think I've seen all sort of wardens shield captain left which is turn three is the top go turn yeah I was already dead I was like should we just talk about from here and that ended as a 95-48 feet for Tony but then we sat afterwards and he talked me through what I could have done differently in how game works and essentially this is a control game if you go first you get to close down my distances and I can't zip around as much if I go first I control where the water has because I can just stay away from you and shoot me I think it's I like you take to EC to rank format but one of the weaknesses of it is on some of the layouts you just shoot across the whole board yeah and there's not an awful lot if you've got against it a long range of army then you're a melee army it's not like you're doing if they just stay 18 inches away from me okay yes pick me I've definitely been one round by GW thread I think when you get to see yeah even though you can be shot in the ruins and from LA armies like well see someone actually got cuz those and you've got to come safe and you can actually hide yeah and your vehicles can move it's not a parking lot says yeah but that's not to diminish Tony played it very very well I had a double fishing my clothing zone I was like how the hell have you got that thing I wear that come from I don't understand these services intent to be there hey slightly they have a scout yeah sure fly I am just throwing up my forms another I'm really gonna reverse to do with a double fish it's kind of a home or at some point you have to call this up there you just control it when you go it was actually it was a hand in me playing it would be lovely to watch I'm glad to see some of the crisis he rented come down to it for that reason because it creates such an interactive game if your opponent can set 24 inches away from you where you're never gonna charge them and just shoot you yeah and with all the movements how I've got they can they can do that really yeah the sound index is really picked up obviously was still waiting on the whole deck to actually yeah coming to effect but the index has really picked seems to have been cracked recently they picked up some more tech reason other they just seems like the they've sort of been a sneaky become more you know they just become more present I don't know if everything else has shifted to make them better or if it's just taken tell players a while to get the techs I think they are quite a technical army to play because you are dancing around those ranges because if they go ever gets to charge off on the you touched yeah it's so easy to score any down again so it's so easy to score a fascinating thing so I think it's just taking a while for players to find that niche find the right composition and then for the method to shift and the later just phase it enough and I don't really understand that's something when your predators come down you go up yeah and that's the same with CSM went up start the edition because those went down and then CSM went down because those are real change because those went up because their natural predators don't exist anymore yeah my final my big takeaway from it was not necessarily one for me but for anyone going to GT because any discrepancy or play you're not happy with it just go just go just go just go just go straight away immediately as soon as this is just really fun to be on just I learned every tournament I never apply it I think I think I'll say the terrain really great resistant numbers for playing big bean cans or cardboard runes the venue how everyone was one was fantastic the toilet situation yeah yeah yeah yeah there was one working toilet for 250 water players yeah did you not go to the downstairs I had enough bananas I didn't need to go for a sit down yeah so there's one upstairs there's one downstairs and then two downstairs one downstairs was shut all weekend well yeah I don't need to repeat but also was you we could just no I guess doesn't exist no just oh this is that guy all right yeah it's it was quite nice that no one really no one was that sweating yeah I think that was that bothered by stuff there were a couple of people without fully painted armies I think that were taking mercy of their bones to be already and but there are a lot of people that were he's been airbrushed three colors like a zenithal highlight and then an accent color which is perfectly fine the models look done yeah it's not everyone is fantastic pain though I'm not gonna have the time and resources and yes there are methods to do things quickly but at the same time if you're a parent and you work for hours it has to be some understanding because if you've rocked up and gone yeah there's three colors on there because I've sprayed it black and a white streak down the red dot in the little space no yeah yeah I think yeah I think in my last game Tony's breach of squats which is ten final warriors of varying logos on bases things like that I'm gonna be on the table long enough for you even sort of look to all of them and they're gonna show up so there they are I hope look but it continues like this long they continue wargaming livestream yesterday one of the guys said they've actually got this weapon in his opponent so yeah that was he really dead intent I think as long as you're really clear with your opponent right I think that the fact that they didn't mind by 3D prints anything like that really goes to see that it's system that supports hobby not just games workshop yeah yeah when you played the bloodache yeah yeah death completely yes yes what did they actually have powerfist and no no no yeah yeah I think I've got 10 15 death company now not a single one has a powerful and a better business I'm hoping that as we kind of move through the additions games workshop will maybe start to differentiate even more and just have like a heavy melee weapon melee weapon or you know powerfist but even state this can be modeled then you know weapon I think that in third or fifth edition there was a bit to the co-lases well like whilst this profile is a power fix and calls it a more yeah chaos CSM the Legionaries have just got heavy metal yeah as you've got the chain axe and you've got fist so the play green they've got people on a weapon heavy yeah I think that's a really nice move because I mean I've run I've got a legionary champion who has a demon blade is in night vision there was actually a demon blade profile and that was kind of cool now there's not it's in the castle to happen it's a household and not great so I run like is a no it's a demon blade demon was too clumsy tell me the wise like a good point yeah so I'm really it was really nice just to see that that's when again is in general the community are just about let's get to play games now and even though like it's maybe a bit of a problem if you're a opponent's had too many days everyone was in good spirits it was quite nice that no one was like the ligtron yeah I'd won back game at a four yeah and for a GT I think that's a really nice place to be I think the guard player at play Steve was actually just like right and he wasn't he wasn't quite like we'd have really good game at a really good conversation the net from player it was only all the GT experience in the last game like was my favorite game of all of my play but I don't know I had time yeah I probably should have an Asian time because I got paddled yeah it wasn't the opponent yeah I think it's the only change I'd like to see is coming from TCGs into tabletop games some price support yeah I'm basically quick to be there just like check a swag back together or something like games or something they could definitely get games or something stuff like we all got dice yep check us a bag with dice and a combat gauge right it cost basically nothing one CP dice any good that will give you back on entry oh this is nice things yeah in a little token by you know there's a little dice bag yeah yeah one gauge one you can see guys yeah yeah and I think the much that was cool dice I think were quite pricey for what they were except I got some free ones they misjudged me for the dice straight was very weird situation but the dice really didn't really like it yeah just yeah so I think shown I just want to say like the anyone like that doesn't like big crowds and loud noises it was actually alright like yeah it was there was a lot of noise there's one what there was one wire right that but everything kind of blended nicely you could talk at a normal volume through your opponent and everyone's quite spaced out oh that dead pile they left outside the water thing of you that was they had the big big tables that you had space to put your crap yeah the noise was the way like spikes of noise and just like a consistent problem yeah so I would definitely recommend going to GTs I'm definitely gonna go to normal so yeah we're a one minute police only for 2020 I don't know how it's a GT with 20 players well I think this one the octa GT you know it's called a GT I think it's actually a super major yeah so I this is this is always me up there's no tournament rules pack for TOs there's no official guidance really there's a little two-page thing from games workshop there's just like yeah run a daughter man yeah tell your players to bring two other points all maybe a thousand like you do you make sure everyone's bringing the same number yeah but this is maybe a time you should run okay but is there anything proper anyway good time had the oil I'm a hundred we're to the cameras they dropped second day the family commitments and other arrangements and stuff so this is the one song that we all resoundingly ranked high and Steve I think Steve actually yeah yeah cuz I only won one oh that's actually that's interesting I think you'll cut this out I think you'd like 160 the PCB I think it was a hundred eighty seven yeah so sorry I don't know that's right I think that's still be one do we mind no and on that thank you for listening we'll see you next time
