188. Fertility Problems of Women 40 and above

Unfortunately, fertility is constrained by the aging process of the eggs in the female and this presents a significant challenge. The aging of eggs begins from about thirty-five and egg quality continues to decline through to menopause. For a woman approaching 40, the chances of pregnancy are around about 20 percent in one cycle, compared with 50 percent when she was 30.
