Because when we talk and it gets quiet, but then it gets loud Like the Mac is like the water good morning good afternoon living and listening to the old talk car podcast live drive edition Hosted by Peter around us. Yes. Who's back joining me is mr. Ross get a little bit of a Back from a bit of a sorry.

Sorry. Sorry. You is just a listen up. Sorry.

Listen up. Sorry. Listen up. Sorry.

Sorry. Peace wife So we promised it and we promised it and we're not in it. Well, everyone thinks we're driving the exam We're not in the exam. I'm so sorry.

We are driving a BMW I X3 yes, we are we are here at your car BMW's I X3 and so basically this is an X3 but with electric engine look when I The reason I mean this car is the XM is going in for some for some modifications as you would expect from your modifications Or if they've done modifications wheels suspension The down part we're not going to drive it in its natural I'm sorry about that. You'll drive it in its modified state that they gave I've got it I X3 which is basically from what soon as I got in the car. I thought to myself Wow, they've taken all the x3s They couldn't sell pre-LCI and just shove the electric engine to them. I didn't look them the bottom yet See what's in it.

I don't know what you can't do it. I don't know what you can't do it. I don't know what you can't do it. Triple A's on the nake, leave it.

No, leave it. I don't know what it was the I X couldn't open it. So we're in an I X3 makes like a humming Or you can turn that off. I'll say that is after the speaker.

That's the sports sound. That's the sports sound. Yeah, really? Really?

How sport is that? What though? It's quite a zippy little car and the only problem is it's only got a 250 kilometer range So my XM has a bigger range. So it's got a petrol motor as well.

It's purely electric. It's not a hybrid. It's not a hybrid. It's just electric car with a 250 kilometer round.

I think it's got like 12 AA batteries because it's not much range. Yeah 250 kilometer range because the I X had a big more range So the range on this is horrible. I drive it quite hard as you imagine in the wet. It's not very good.

It's falling. It was raining. It slides a lot of dirt. Or will or front?

I think it's all dirt. How long does it take to charge? I've been topping up every night with a slow charger. It's a 1.7 kilowatts.

It's charging by 5 o'clock in the morning. It's charging. Well that's the thing because it's a smaller battery. It's got a smaller.

It's like having a 20 litre petrol tank as opposed to 40 litre petrol tank. Correct. It'll be quicker to get to 100% doesn't mean it's like the correct time on the top. Right?

It's quite comfortable. It's very hard. I remember the X3's are a bit harder than this. It's a soft car.

It's nice. It's got good suspension. It's still an X3. It hasn't got the curve dash of the I X.

But the XM's got that curve dash as well. I've also been spent a bit of time in a G320 G20. The reason I spent a week in a G20 is because the XM decided to software update it. I've got to throw a truck and then I want to do it.

We'll just leave that for the XM podcast. So we'll leave that one there. So I spent all the time with the G20. The curve dash is actually the XM is comfortable because the car's big.

In the small cars they're frustrating. You lose touch with the car. But this one's got the traditional I like it. I like the pre-elsey.

I like the pre-elsey ikars. I think they're nice and they're good. But it's a run about car. This is a car you want to buy.

Are they worth 80 grand? No. If this car was 60,000 dollars, how much are these things? They're more than 80.

They're 80, 90 grand. But they do look like they've just taken an X3. This is a parts-bin car. They've got to be the parts-bin cars.

Just grab whatever bits you got and let's just put something in the other. We need the engine for this model. It's the engine now. We're going to do now.

I'll chuck some batteries in it. It is a sort of haphazard. I'm not haphazard. That's probably a harsh word.

They have just got an existing car, put in a battery pack and see how it goes. It's not a ground up electric car. You've still got the transmission. It's how the shell thing comes.

It moves. It's not as quick as a Tesla. It's nothing as quick as a Tesla. You know what?

The thing is, when you put your foot down in this car, all the car panels stay on the car. I've had the Tesla foot down a bit now and it has not gone back. Sorry, we just lost reception. You're in there for four minutes.

Five minutes. The ATXM has had a few. We lost the door handle of the XM. We don't want to come let out like we did with that other car.

Your mates range over. It's pretty smooth. Is it a cool car? It's good.

That's what I really want to get here and do. My day be bought. I thought it'd be. That's in sports.

Let's go. We can save. Let's go. Let's fly to the floor.

Are you serious? No, that's flight to the floor. Everything's gone blue inside the car. Yeah.

See, that's the floor. You're joking. No. You can't do this.

Let's go. Let's go. You can make some right at 40. That's the pedestrian.

Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.

Let's go. Go. Go. That's very legally.

Let's almost that. That's almost that. That's... It's constant.

Are you still fringing out? Oh, this is shit. This is for mummy mode. This is definitely...

What the hell? The speed is like that. I'm accelerating, like up to hill, and it's going below 60 K. Let's take them off the floor for a second.

Let's go back to comfort mode. So comfort's a bit of bone. No, you feel like that's comfort. But then your range has to...

Oh, yeah, it's like much petrol. You accelerate. You lose. You know, I don't understand the day when I was on the freeway.

My range was... Even though I was coasting, my range was going down a lot quicker on the freeway. Why? to sustain that 100km.

So they're not very economical in the 3. So when I'm in the X-E, and I'm on the freeway, I'm in the electric mode, switches and petrol motors, I'm on the same battery as the charge gun. Oh yeah, I was in the charge mode. Because the X-E got a lot of 4.5 different modes, but this is pretty good.

4.5 different modes. It's got a lot of space. It's a pretty big one. X-Eree, I've never really driven one.

I made a mine that's got one, and I was sort of like, blah. No, I like the X-Eree. I think it's a guy, a car, for a daily driver, and he had oodles and oodles of money. He'd buy an X-Eree in competition if he didn't care.

Because I had an X-5 in America, and I enjoyed it was a 4.5. I love the X-Eree. If you didn't have to travel, if you didn't have to move the car. If you have to move the kids around, should we hit the big one?

We've got to get one bit of birth. I'll give him one bit. Shit, he's cutting front of us. Seriously, I'll get one bit of the front of the car.

We'll talk about that in a minute. If you didn't have to buy a big car, this is a K-9. This is definitely a K-9. It is a brilliant end.

It's got the head up the state. It's got everything. So it's fully loaded. I love it.

It's got the panoramic roof of the blind. Yeah, panoramic roof. It's great. It's a trendy blackened, it's got the blue stitching through the interior.

It's got that BMW smell. That's my name. It's I smell. I've got BMW fragracing.

BMW. I smell like BMW. That's my lucky movie. Yeah, so what do you think?

I'm shocked. I thought, here we go. This is not the exam. I'm quitely shocked.

This is, look, I wouldn't get one personally, because of the range. The range is terrible. It's the range. I've got range anxiety this thing.

Every not a good one. If it's your wife's car, if it's your wife's car, that the school run, drop off your car. I can't forget the charge. Yeah, I know.

Because that's why I can't read my wife, because she forgot to charge her iPhone, COVID-19. Really? What's she got to do with the car? So, yeah.

But it's enough for a day where, if any other electric car with the range of 400 plus, you can charge it at the beginning of the week, you have enough charge to last you for the, during the month that of Friday. I don't remember where this is, yeah, you got to sort of charge it every night and then not worry about it. It wouldn't be the car you take, you just stay. You couldn't take this out.

It's a purely city car. Very comfortable, very roomy. I mean, it's a thumbs up with a caveat. What's the caveat?

Are the money and the range? Okay, let's say this was 50,000 miles. Oh, this size been W50? It would bang, bang your dreams.

If this was tested, it would kill the BYD. It would build your dreams. It would bang your dreams. It would crush all the Chinese cars, but they wouldn't bring it out at 50,000.

You can't have it by fucking X1 or 50,000. So, speaking of X1s, the Ix1 is apparently the car to drive. What would be the same as this? It'll be the car drive.

They reckon it is the ultimate electric vehicle. Let's swap it. Let's bring it. We should have won it a few weeks.

Get an Ix, Ix1. Ix1 apparently is the ultimate. Ix1 or Ix1. We're going to get access to the new Ix1.

Ix1. Yeah, for one A down, it's not. There was one in the country and it wasn't. If you just saw the current reveal, put that in the current.

Oh, is it a pretty, but you couldn't get in it. So, I'll put it down for an I5. So, an I5. Sounds like a phone.

Let's talk about these cars. They'd be coming to my car, so the XM. But the software update, software didn't agree with the car and it has to be tied to the dealership. They needed the car for three days to work out.

Pain in the US. Right. Yeah, expensive car. Pain in the US.

Complete. Just inconvenient. Right. Why?

I asked them, can you turn off the updates? No, we can't. It has to be. Why was it over the air update?

Was it over the air update? So, I've said, oh, can we just do the updates? When we go to the dealership? Yeah, we can't.

Okay. But why do we have to do updates? Why do we have to update? Like, I get why we have to update our phone.

Why don't we actually do updates on cars now? Well, to tick a box in terms and conditions. Because it depends on the update. All right.

So, the X5M competition that I had, right. No, over the update. Yeah, we had over the updates. It brought in some new software for the engine.

That got rid of the beautiful exhaust. You did want the goal exhaust, but it turned the weekend, right? Because it had to meet emissions laws. That's a mop, right?

It didn't start crackle-a-pot. Okay, first year did. Yeah, but if I bought the car like that, then, then if I bought the car with microsoft, don't it down. That's what you say.

Yeah, but also don't sell me a car with microsoft ability on the screen. And then in the next update, sorry, we've stopped doing a deal with microsoft. We're going to do a software update. We're going to take all those features away.

I bought the car with those features. Yeah. No, that's really a contractual obligation. Not with me.

You've got my contractual obligations. I purchased the car with it. They're my purchase the car with it. Are you asking for legal advice?

I'm just asking for fair training. I'm just saying. I purchased the car with Microsoft, a lot of offers, whatever in the car. If you bought it for that specific purpose.

I did. I did. That's why I bought it. Then you could probably go to fair training.

Because someone bought a Mercedes. They had that command, some system, and then they took it off after a year. And he paid was $8,000 options about 10 years ago. So we paid to Microsoft.

The other one was... We paid for it. I mean, they took it away. The other car legal he was on to bring up was the two guys of Victoria, Lady and Gentleman.

We took on the Victorian Government about the electric car charges. The fee to drive electric car in Victoria, it was in Bridge of the Constitution. It's like government aren't allowed to charge such levies. Why?

It's only a federal tax. Oh. So the Victorian Government is going to refund all these. The electric car.

You say one. No. We're going to bring it out. In New South Wales in 2026, I don't know if that's still happening.

So congrats. Well done. How good was that? That is awesome.

It was a good chance of the chairman. Have a chat with him. That's crazy. So there's an extreme front of us, just normal.

Not an LCI. Great car. I'm very... I'm quite impressed.

Because the X5 is getting big. And the 6-3 is almost the size of the original X5. I think this is the same as any 53 X5. So, and you do see them a lot more.

You do see the X3 is a lot more. But the X5 is still a lot of presence. Beautiful car. I think BMW is still done well with the SUV.

I miss my X5. They're a good product. I miss my X5. Well, you haven't had enough time at your exam.

That's what it is. I've had the exam for four months and I've been off the road for a month. Yeah, four minutes. You've had it four.

We'll see. Once it comes back from C Performance, it all seems like. So there you have it. And my X3 is a thumbs up from us.

As it to drive. But there are other cars out there for that money. That's right. What's happening this week, Pete?

Next one. Anything sorry? I'm jumping on it. Everything's real.

I'm off to the Sigma Show. Yeah, I'm aware. To Las Vegas. What's the same?

Sigma. Next episode you'll find out when there's been a request from hell to do a phone call through Zencaster. Really? Yeah, it's all the time.

You're on? Yeah, well, you'll have to tell you that properly. Yeah, it'll be your midnight. It's because I'm on.

That's what the anytime you'll get me. I don't have any on. So that's happening. So, I've lined up a few interviews out there.

I'm judging again. So that should be a bit of fun. We do. Judging new showcase products again.

Really Australian market. We've organized... I'm meeting up with the HDT boys. Hold on.

They're going over the first time. There are a lot of Aussie companies. There are a lot of... There's KMAXs together.

There's a lot of 4-Darm prep. Organizing them with the clutch. There's a few different clutches. Yeah.

I don't know. We're going to do that. So we'll see what happens. So I've got the HDT boys lined up.

I'm trying. So I'm going to always say it. Nothing fun. That's gotta be it.

The X-ing. I'm trying to organize it with the F1 boys. So if I get the same one. So I set the emails out and still waiting for my contact to get back to me.

So it's going to be a fun game in Vegas. We have your short trip this time. I'm going on my own. And then I might do the hookup with Hal and yourself as well.

Why not? Let's do it. So that's what we've got coming up. Brilliant.

What's good to be back? Sorry, I've made a life so long. That's a lot. We've still got to talk about Europe as well.

Oh yeah. Got a few little snails. And a lot of snails. And a lot of snails.

Little talks. Few things with Hal. Hal shopping for a car again. He's still looking for a driver.

He's still looking for a driver. So I think we should just buy him a driver. We're just going to just buy him a driver. We'll give him a team.

We'll give our little brief run down on the Amorok. We'll drive it to the new Amorok. So I'll let Hal talk about that next episode. And have you heard about speaking of Amorok?

How do you announce the new world? What do they got to call it? They've got cues. They've got cues.

A's, cues. And this is what they're going to use. A U. A U.

A U4. Who knows? Cool. So that's what we're going up.

Look forward to getting back on the microphone. Yeah. We've got a few interesting things developing. Yeah.

Stop saying it. No, stop saying it. Right now, let's review us. Follow us on Instagram, email us at walltalkatoutlook.com.au.

We've got Bathas again. Oh my god. We've got so... Lufy.

All straight cities. My bad. I've got a few of these. Thank you for listening.

Bye for now. You're a rusty mate. You all right? You're a catchy rusty shit.

Hey? Sorry. You're right. You're okay?
