19 Is It Safe to Solve a Schizophrenic Constellation?

from Mind Over Symptom · host Lishui Springford

What if the symptoms you fear most are actually the signs that you're getting well? One of the first things we learn in the Germanic Healing Knowledge is that most physical symptoms are healing phase symptoms—which means, paradoxically, that being sick usually means you're healthy. But because we were raised in a culture that treats illness as dangerous (or fatal), we're conditioned to fear symptoms. That fear can get even bigger when we hear warnings about resolving certain conflicts—especially temporal lobe conflicts or a schizophrenic constellation, which is two temporal lobe conflicts relayed from opposite sides of the cerebral cortex. Thankfully, you don't need to fear resolving a schizophrenic constellation. Not just because fearing or worrying about it is completely useless (because you have no choice about solving things), but also because the constellation itself changes the conflict load of the special biological programs in a crucial (and helpful) way. Temporal lobe healing phase symptoms can include bronchitis-pneumonia, laryngitis, coronary infarctions, lung embolisms, cervical cancer, duct-related cancers or hepatitis, and urinary tract symptoms (kidney stones, bladder cancer). These sound scary, but they're only scary if you have the conflict very intensely, without solving it, for a very long time—which is rarer than you think. In fact, most of us run these special biological programs multiple times in our lives, and often don't even notice the healing phase symptoms because they're mild. There are two ways special biological programs can be truly dangerous: conflict activity drains all our spare energy over time (a consequence of not solving conflicts), or a healing crisis can be so intense it stops the brain (rare, but tied to extreme and long-term intensity). Long-term conflicts are often not actually constant; they're often repeated cycles over years with healing phases in between—which cancels conflict load each time. And here's the key: in the case of schizophrenic constellations, instead of "two conflicts = double danger," a schizophrenic constellation stops the buildup of conflict load. Tissue/functional changes stop accumulating, and psychological symptoms replace ongoing tissue changes. Our real concern about solving schizophrenic constellations isn't biology. It's the challenge of achieving presence—because being present to reality means becoming conscious and taking responsibility for our experience. But presence is also the core solution: through healing, the epi-crisis, completion of special biological programs, and even our ultimate transition.
