Have you ever had to go the extra mile to explain something to someone only to have it go on one year, process minimally, then come out of their mouth chopped, screwed, and completely misunderstood? Yeah, us too. Not to mention the shame and reputation you receive and are labelled with when you attempt to call people in but they immediately feel called out. Being an Activist is not for the faint of heart. We've learned that it requires thicker skin than our younger days did when we simply just took and accepted racism. We get tired of explaining "why this" and "why that". It's even more labouring when we're not taken seriously and after our words are chopped and screwed, they're dismissed.
