19. There’s something about Salem

Whuddup Witches,  Join us as we take a step back into history once again. This weeks episode is the introduction to the Salem Witch Trials. Our story begins In January 1692, with 9-year-old Elizabeth Parris and 11-year-old Abigail Williams, who are the daughter and niece of the Salem Village minister, Samuel Parris. The small community of Salem Village is rampant with fear and paranoia from events such as the after-effects of a British-French war, smallpox epidemic, fears of attacks from neighboring indigenous tribes and a longstanding rivalry with the more affluent community of Salem Town, and now the threat of witches is on the rise.
