Sometimes controversial issues such as gun control, LGBTQ issues, racism, unplanned pregnancy, and political elections can cause division among your nonprofit's supporters and team members. It can be extremely stressful to feel like you could lose a major funding source, public favor, and staff and board members over one controversial issue.
