In 2020, I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and briefly worked as an engineer. I'm now a Chartered Commercial Banker, driving enterprise growth initiatives to support businesses across the country.With only 8 FTSE100 companies headed by women, being a woman in a man’s world can be hugely challenging. I strive to transform this statistic, not only by empowering myself, but by empowering other women to reach their full potential in the workplace. This ambition recently led me to launch Boss Bios, an online platform which aims to celebrate the achievements of women who are thriving across a range of careers. My hope is that their incredible stories will go on to inspire the next generation to follow in their footsteps.Outside of my regular work I'm also a diversity and inclusion ambassador and a careers ambassador, sharing my career journey with young people across the country and supporting them to develop the skills they need to succeed in their future careers. I'm also a BAME ambassador for SmartWorks, a charity who provide personal styling, clothing and coaching for unemployed women looking to reenter the workplace.Alongside pageantry, travel has been an important source of empowerment for me and in 2019, I took a two-month solo trip across Asia and Australia.
