#190 Today's Boondoggle- with WWII Army Veteran, Technical Sgt Joseph Gardi

from Todays Boondoggle Podcast · host Today's Boondoggle Show

Update: unfortunately about a month after recording this interview, Mr. Gardi went home to be with the Lord. This is the very last recorded conversation with this great man. In this episode, Bill has the Honor and Privilege of speaking to a Man from the "Greatest Generation", WWII Army Veteran, Technical Sgt. Joseph Gardi. We talk about growing up in an era where Men honorably accepted their duty to serve our country, growing up in a family of brothers who all went off to war while the women stepped up to serve by working in the factories and taking care of the families. Joseph has many amazing stories to share including befriending a young Frank Sinatra and getting him to sing for a High School in New Jersey, then having the honor of meeting both General Patton and Eisenhower during his time in the Army during WWII. He also talks about his experiences during WWII, losing loved ones, and values that he still carries with him today at 97 years young. Joseph also shares some of his secrets to long healthy living, his own continued battles with today's medical mafia, his love for his grandson embroiled in his own legal battles with the medical mafia, his hope for our country today, his personal thoughts about our current President, the love he has for his family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, plus the legacy and wisdom he hopes to leave behind during this podcast episode, plus so much more.
