191 - The Unknown

Our first silent and black & white film in quite some time, our episode today delves into the world of Tod Browning’s “The Unknown”. Join the gang as they talk about Browning’s past and fascination with the circus, Lon Cheney’s committed performance, and the complete beauty of Joan Crawford and how forward thinking her character development was for a movie from the 1920s. Also, this week Adam recommends another Browning film “The Unholy Three” (free on Hoopla), Britt recommends “Santa Sangre” (free on Kanopy), and as on brand as ever Joey recommends “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera” (currently on Netflix). You can listen to us wherever you listen to podcasts!
