Have you ever felt like you know what would help your health… but you just can’t seem to follow through? In this episode, we explore what Gospel of Matthew 25 reveals about fear, faith, and stewardship—and how this connects directly to your health journey. This conversation is for the Christian woman who desires more energy, peace, and alignment with God’s design for her body, but feels stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next. We take a faith-centered, whole-person approach to health—focusing not just on what to do, but on how to move forward with wisdom, discernment, and trust in God. Understanding the Parable of the Talents and Stewardship In Matthew 25, Jesus shares a parable about three servants entrusted with different amounts of wealth. Two servants stewarded what they were given and multiplied it One servant, out of fear, hid what he was given A “talent” in this context represented a significant amount—roughly 20 years’ worth of wages. This wasn’t a small responsibility. It was something valuable entrusted to them. In the same way, we’ve been entrusted with: Our bodies Our health Our time and energy Wisdom we’ve gained The question becomes: What are we doing with what we’ve been given? How Fear Can Quietly Hold You Back The third servant didn’t lack resources—he was afraid. He described his master as harsh and responded by doing nothing. Sometimes, we do the same. Not out of rebellion—but out of: Fear of getting it wrong Fear of trying again after disappointment Fear of change or the unknown And often, this fear is tied to a distorted view of God. But Scripture reminds us: God is compassionate God is faithful God does not abandon us When we begin to remember who God truly is, it changes how we respond. What It Looks Like to Feel Stuck (Even When You Care About Your Health) Feeling stuck doesn’t always mean you don’t care. It can look like: Staying in the same routines, even when you feel prompted to change Choosing comfort over obedience Staying busy but not intentional Letting distractions consume your time and energy Avoiding steps you feel led to take because they feel uncertain Sometimes, it’s not that you don’t want to feel better. It’s that you feel unsure, tired, or hesitant to move forward. Bringing This Back to Your Health (Christian Wellness + Stewardship) We are called to steward our bodies. Not perfectly—but faithfully. In the context of Christian wellness and healthy habits, this might look like: Paying attention to what your body is telling you Making small, consistent changes in your daily routines Seeking wisdom instead of rushing into overwhelm Taking one step instead of trying to fix everything at once For many women, this connects to challenges like chronic fatigue, ongoing symptoms, or a desire for deeper healing through natural remedies and lifestyle changes. It’s easy to lose hope. But there is always hope in God. And sometimes, you already have a sense of what your next step could be—you just haven’t taken it yet. Reclaiming Hope and Identity in Your Health Journey You are not without purpose. You were created in the image of God. That means: Your life has meaning Your body matters Your health is worth stewarding If you’ve felt discouraged or stuck, this is not a place of condemnation—it’s an invitation. An invitation to: Reconnect with truth Take one small, faithful step Move forward with hope instead of fear Time-Stamped Highlights 00:00 – Why it can feel hard to follow through on what you know would help your health 00:39 – Overview of Matthew 25 and the parable of the talents 02:35 – What a “talent” meant in biblical context and why it matters 04:03 – How this parable applies to stewardship of your body, health, and life 04:56 – The role of fear and distorted views of God in holding you back 06:23 – How distraction and busyness can keep you stuck 09:10 – Real-life example of staying in the familiar out of fear 12:57 – Obedience vs. comfort and societal expectations 13:27 – Bringing the message back to health and stewardship 14:23 – Encouragement for those who feel discouraged or have lost hope 15:49 – Identity: being made in the image of God and what that means for your life 16:18 – Encouragement to take the next step, even if it’s small 18:10 – Invitation to receive support and gain clarity in your health journey Key Takeaways Stewardship is not about perfection—it’s about faithfulness with what you’ve been given Fear can quietly keep you stuck, even when you care deeply about your health A right understanding of God’s character helps you move forward with trust You don’t need to do everything—you can take one small, wise step Your health matters, not just for you, but for how you serve your family and community There is always hope, even if you’ve been struggling for a long time Call to Action If you’re realizing that you feel stuck, unsure, or overwhelmed when it comes to your health—you don’t have to figure it out alone.
